About Probability of Demise

Probability of Demise was formed from a group of friends who used Dungeons & Dragons as an escape from the COVID-19 pandemic. As the pandemic dragged on, these friends made a commitment to only see each so they could safely gather around the table in person. In other words: They formed a pod.

The Probability of Demise podcast was born from that idea and aired its first episode in February 2022. Though they no longer all live in the same city, they still keep the pod alive by playing video games together, doing virtual hangouts, and of course — regularly recording new episodes for P.O.D. fans.

Thank you for joining us as we tell our stories. We hope you find your pod.

About the Cast

Rurik Nackerud

Gamemaster

Based out of Bellingham, WA, Rurik Nackerud could become a dusty professor of education, crafting lessons in pirate hunting. Instead they lead the life of a curriculum developer by day and whipping up storytelling magic by night. They dream of sailing the seas as a dice-wielding, swashbuckling tale collector and are on their way towards acquiring a vessel. Sipping coffee with Gandalf, Mary Poppins, and Jack Sparrow are among their life's ambitions. Reach out if you want to play with worldbuilding, paint minis, or talk sailing!
